Quotes and Documentation

Consignment quotes require documentation including a current revision Bill of Materials (BOM) and Assembly Drawings. This documentation can be forwarded to your EXPERT Field Sales Account Manager electronically in order to generate a customer assembly quotation. An assembly quote is calculated based upon the types of components on the board, number of placements, complexity of component placement, turnaround time required, and other special instructions requiring other work related to the assembly process.

If the assembly job is awarded to EXPERT, Gerber Data is required (to generate the stencil), and CAD/DATA files are required to program the surface-mount pick and place machine.

Turnkey quotes require the customer to provide all of the above documentation, including an Approved Vendor Listing (AVL). The AVL is a document that lists all component vendors that have been approved by the customer for a particular assembly. Turnkey quotes can be processed in as little as 5 days.
